Is Dayara Bugyal suitable for complete beginners?
Absolutely! This is one of the easiest high-altitude treks in Uttarakhand. The gentle slopes and short duration (4 days) make it perfect for first-timers. If you can walk 6-7 km on flat ground, you can do this trek.
What activities can we do at Dayara Bugyal?
In winter, the vast meadows become a natural playground for snow activities - snowball fights, making snow angels, and sliding down gentle slopes. In summer, it's perfect for photography, nature walks, and simply soaking in the mountain views.
Why is it called a "Bugyal"?
Bugyal is the local Garhwali word for high-altitude alpine meadows. These vast grasslands are used by local shepherds for grazing in summer and transform into stunning snowfields in winter.
